Life can be tough. And you don't always know how to be resilient and re-balance yourself.
Self-esteem is everything. How you feel about yourself at any given point in time will either nourish or contaminate every other relationship you have in your life.

What is Self-Esteem?
Your self-esteem, put simply, is how you feel about yourself at any point in time.
It's a moveable point, and it's quite normal to have the usual ups and downs in life. To sometimes feel really great about yourself, and at other times, to be locked in a world of ruminative, repetative, unhelpful thinking patterns that literally drain the life force out of you from the inside out.
I know how this feels because I struggled with low self-esteem and social anxiety for years, brought about by the way I had internalised a certain childhood experience. This influenced how I felt about myself, and whilst I was achieving increasing academic and professional success on the outside throughout my school and University years, I was struggling with low spirit on the inside.
I had developed a very efficient and unrelenting self-critical aspect of my personality, and it was only 20 years ago that I finally realised that I could do something about it. That I had a real choice over how I wanted to think, what perspective I could chose to have in any situation and how I wanted to be living my life.
Until that point, I thought this was how it would always be. So it was so liberating and empowering to discover that there was another way and that you don't have to stay there, even if you still go there.
